You may have already met them during advising appointments or seen them tabling around campus—the Office of Study Abroad is delighted to welcome its newest Ambassadors!
The Study Abroad Ambassadors are students who’ve returned from abroad to work part-time at the Office during the Academic Year. They walk students through the study abroad application process, contribute to our newsletter and blog, organize the Office’s events, and facilitate pre-departure orientations for outgoing students. This year’s four Ambassadors—Marthal, Nathalie, Maggie, and Ryan—are excited to assist students in any way they can, be it answering questions about different programs or sharing their experiences away from Wesleyan.
If you’re interested in studying abroad, we encourage you to schedule your required First Steps meeting with one of us or to stop by the Office in Fisk 201 to chat with us during our walk-in advising hours (M/W/F 10:00am-12:00pm and T/Th 2:00-4:00pm EST)!
Marthal Aderibigbe ’27 (she/her)
Hi!! My name is Marthal! I am a senior majoring in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry with a minor in the College of East Asian Studies. I studied abroad at Seoul National University (Spring ’26) in South Korea. I am so excited to share my experience with people who plan on studying abroad as an Ambassador.
Maggie Sun ’27 (she/her)
Hi, my name is Maggie Sun. I am a senior and a Psychology major. This past spring, I studied in Paris with the Vassar Wesleyan Program in Paris. As a Study Abroad Ambassador, I am most excited to share my experience studying in Paris with interested students, guide students as they embark on their study abroad journey, and answer their questions as best I can.

Hi, my name is Nathalie! I’m a Senior studying Government with a Data Analysis minor. I studied urban planning while abroad last spring with DIS Copenhagen in Denmark. As an Ambassador, I can’t wait to hear about other students’ goals for their time abroad and share the information and resources that helped make my time a success!

Hi everyone! My name is Ryan, and I am a senior majoring in Sociology and Environmental Studies. Through the Office of Study Abroad and with the College of the Environment’s support, I spent two summers in the Ecuadorian Amazon and Andes and a semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I’m excited to support students throughout the study abroad process and answer any questions I can!
