The Office of Study Abroad (OSA) is excited to announce various provider visits coming to campus as students get back to the grind after Fall Break. The information tables can be found in the Usdan Student Center. This article provides students with a general overview of our visiting partners and the opportunities they offer below. Any student interested in additional information should explore the OSA webpage, and are welcomed to stop by the OSA during our open office hours (MWF 10AM-12PM, or TTh 2PM-4PM)
Wednesday, October 23: Arcadia Table, 12PM-2PM
Arcadia, formally known as Arcadia University: The College of Global Studies, will have kicked off the exhibitions by having an information table in the Usdan Student Center, Wednesday October 23. Arcadia is a trusted partner, with numerous study abroad options for Wesleyan students looking to advance their academic careers in Ireland. Arcadia’s Trinity College Dublin program is a particularly popular choice for Wesleyan students, ranked as one of the top 100 universities in the world.
Arcadia also facilitates specialized programs for designated majors. Wesleyan’s Physic Department has an Exchange Program with Dublin City University in Ireland which offers student the opportunity to engage in collaborative research with faculty guidance. Wesleyan’s Music department also has a specialized program with the University College Cork’s School of Film, Music and Theater.
Friday, October 25: IES Table 12PM-2PM
On Friday, October 25 IES, or the Institute of International Education of Students, will be showcasing their own variety of programs. Currently, IES facilitates a pre-approved program in Nagoya, Japan, with Nanzan University. Nagoya is considered a center of art and culture, and as such the program is excellent for students interested in Japanese Language and Area Studies courses, Cultural Art courses, in addition to seminar courses.
Monday, October 28: Royal Holloway 12PM-2PM
Self-proclaimed as one the most internationalized campuses in the United Kingdom, Royal Holloway University of London will be present in Usdan on Monday October 28 to talk to students about the opportunity study abroad in a welcoming and tranquil environment, just miles away from London.
Thursday, October 31: Sarah Lawrence College (Oxford) 12PM-2PM
Sarah Lawrence College will be in attendance on October 31 in Usdan to talk to students about the chance to study in the scholarly ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ –at Oxford University. Oxford University provides an unparalleled and rigorous system of education which balances individual pursuits monitored by their renowned faculty, with a broad curriculum to ensure an academic challenging but exceptional experience.
Friday, November 1: University of Sussex 1PM-3PM
Learn more about the opportunity to study in Brighton, a beloved city by the sea, through studying abroad at the University of Sussex. Choose from over a hundred learning modules to accommodate your academic interests, get involved with recreational organizations, join a society, and learn more about their Buddy Scheme to help connect you with host-national students based on your interests.
Additionally, Wesleyan’s English Department has a long-standing partnership with the University of Sussex available to interested English Majors for their junior spring terms.
