Are you a graduating senior or recent alum passionate about language learning and community engagement? If so, working at the Fries Center as a Global Language and Outreach Fellow for the upcoming academic year may be the perfect postgrad plan for you!

The Global Language and Outreach Fellow develops, facilitates, and publicizes initiatives promoting language-learning and multilingualism on campus. This includes getting to plan and run  events for International Education Week and Power of Language Week; publicizing Fries Center initiatives through social media and our newsletter; supporting opportunities for learning languages not taught at Wesleyan; and collaborating with a variety of faculty, students, and FLTAs to strengthen a culture of multilingualism at Wesleyan.

The Fellow works on-campus for 37.5 hours a week, starting in mid-August 2025 and ending in mid-August 2026. The Fries Center seeks candidates with academic, extracurricular, or work experience engaging with language and culture, as well as proficiency in at least one language other than English and strong communication and social media skills.
