Greetings, Global Cardinals!
Please take a moment to read these announcements and reminders from the Office of International Student Affairs (OISA).
For students in F-1 visa status (studying at Wesleyan on an I-20):
- If you are planning to travel and/or renew your visa over fall/winter break, please read the email we sent to you on Friday, October 15th titled “Traveling over break? Need a new visa? This email’s a must-read!” Visit our Visa & Travel page for additional guidance about international/domestic travel and renewing your visa.
- Are you a Class of 2024/2025 international student still exploring options for your major(s) at Wesleyan? Join us virtually on Thursday, November 4, 4:30-5:30 p.m. EDT for a session on “Choosing Majors and Careers for F-1 Visa Holders” led by class deans and OISA staff. Please RSVP through this link.
- If you are graduating this fall, it is important you start to plan next steps for your F-1 status. If you would like to pursue post-graduation employment in the U.S., consider applying soon for post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT).
For all international students:
- The International Student Advisory Board (ISAB) is currently accepting applications for 2021-22 members! ISAB is open to all students who identify as international and dedicated to advocacy efforts in support of Wesleyan’s international student community. Applications are due by Tuesday, October 26th at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
