Intended Audience: Classes of 2021 and 2022 F-1 visa holders who wish to work in the United States after graduation

Session Description: In this workshop, OISA staff will provide step-by-step guidance to fill out the I-765 (Application For Employment Authorization). Students are encouraged to download the form and follow along. Please have the following documents ready prior to the workshop: 1) your current and all previous I-20s, 2) your passport, 3) your F-1 visa page (if on a different passport), 4) your most recent I-94, 5) your Social Security Card (if you have one), and a pen with black ink (required by the U.S. government).

Students who would like to receive individual feedback on their I-765 form should email a completed copy of their I-765 to oisa@wesleyan.edu. The turnaround for receiving corrections/feedback is 7-10 business days. Students are encouraged to attend one of OISA’s drop-in hours to ask questions related to filling out the I-765 form.
