WesStories with ISA

Thursday, November 18, 2021, 7:30-9:00 p.m. EDT (location TBD)

Calling all talented, multilingual Wesleyan students! The Shapiro Center for Writing, OISA, and the International Student Association (ISA) are seeking performers of multilingual poetry, songs, skits, monologues, speeches, and other creative forms of expression, as well as emcees! The performances should be centered on the theme of multilingual experiences and last 5-10 minutes. Your stories can be multilingual by providing translations or translanguaging (flowing freely between languages). Please provide English translations (and other languages if you’d like) in the form of oral translation, written handouts, displays on computer projector, or any other format you can imagine. We welcome any language and performers may be using their first, second, third, fourth or fifth language! Come celebrate the diversity of Wes with us!

All performance proposals must be submitted by Friday, November 12th at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) EDT for consideration.
