Study abroad suspended for spring 2021

Due to ongoing travel, academic, and health and safety factors associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the University has made the difficult decision to suspend study abroad again for spring 2021. This includes our programs in Paris, Bologna, and Madrid, as well as programs run by other institutions or organizations in which Wesleyan students participate.

For students whose plans have changed as a result of the suspension, the study abroad team is available by email at studyabroad@wesleyan.edu, or students may drop in to our virtual advising hours every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10AM-12PM EST as well as on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2PM-4PM EST.

For those who are no longer able to fit study abroad into their academic plans, we encourage them to consider alternatives such as international fellowships, or study, research, or teaching opportunities abroad after graduation. Our Fellowships Office can be reached at fellowships@wesleyan.edu.

Students should also look out for some opportunities during the spring semester to interact remotely with students and faculty from abroad, in classes, lectures, and events. We are doing our best to bring global and intercultural learning to our virtual and physical campus.

We thank students for their understanding and cooperation, and hope that we will be able to continue supporting students through this difficult time.
